My World Needs Hope (and therefore, color)
A very short demo/proof of concept of an experience that's been rolling around my brain for 7 years.
You start out with the world dark and grey... you have to find the glowing blue flower, and click on it, and then you can go up to the "fire trees" and click on them to transform them. As you find and transform all of them, the world around you changes to become brighter, lighter and more colorful. You're restoring hope, light, life and color to the world.
To play, use WASD to move around and *first* click on the blue glowing flower and then click on the fire trees and they will change as they're "healed". There's currently no real feedback that it's happened, other than the fire trees changing. You have to be in front of and pointing at these items before you click them.
Note: at present, this is SUPER short and can literally be finished in a minute or two. It's also the very beginning of a whole lot of plans, but I plan to keep working on it and expand it out. I've also got a proper musician working on a soundtrack.
dev note: during the "finish your game" jam, I started and built this third and probably final iteration of this game. Final, as in, this is what I'll keep building on, anyway. Lots of pre-made assets and some custom programming helped this come together quickly. And while it's super short, it's also super neat, and I'll be continuing to work on it for quite some time.
